Up in Plymouth

Well its been a long week, but we have finally made it to Plymouth where we will be staying with my mom and dad for my maternity leave. Thanks to the help of many friends and family(especially my sister Stephanie), we made it through week #1! I would have been totally lost and exhausted without the unconditional help that was given to me.
Wyatts bilirubin was still a little elevated, so the doctor order for him to continue with the bili-blanket for one more week. I pray that by then his levels will be good enough to not have to use the blanket anymore. Its somewhat challenging to have only a 2 foot radius to move with him since he is connected to the machine.
All in all Wyatt has been a very good boy, and he is such a blessing.

We've got a cutie!

Well, they have determined that Wyatt has jaundice (a relatively common thing). So they have placed him under the bilirubin lights for now. The lights are located up in the NICU a floor above where I am. Its hard for me however to be away from him..... I'd much rather have him here with me!!!
Here are some new pictures for everyone to see! :)

Wyatts Birthday 02-15-09

Well Wyatt is finally here!!!! He was born at 8:15 am this morning. He was 6lbs 13oz, 20 1/2in long. He definitly displayed a stubborn side----and did not want to come out. I pushed for almost 3 1/2 hours!!! Dad (Nigel) was able to call me throughout the night, as well as today. I was very happy to hear from him, and it was such a blessing.
Most important thing is that we are both doing good. We are most likely going to be released from the hospital on Tuesday. I will be having an appt with the pediatrician on Friday, then plan to go up to Plymouth. :) I'm sure I'll be posting more pictures soon!

Waiting game............
Right now I'm just playing the waiting game. My MD says that I'm on a teeter totter right now and that it wouldn't take much to push me over the edge. As of Thursday she said that I am 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. He is in head down position, and I can feel that he has dropped. (I can breathe easier!!) These are all good exciting things! However my MD quickly reminded me not to get my hopes too high because some women can stay at this level from days........to weeks! So right now I am just hanging out until Wyatt decides to join us in this world. I'm still working at the hospital, and everyday when I walk into work I must have at least 3-4 people that say "you're still here???"
Nigel has been trying to check in with me as much as he possibly can during his travels. I told him I would email him right away once I felt Wyatt was on his way.
Please keep Nigel in your prayers while his is traveling to his home base.
Well, maybe Wyatt will be here soon!! Monday is a full moon!!!
